The Annual RES Conference is the society’s flagship event, consisting of keynote lectures, special sessions and general sessions for paper presentation along with fringe events such as workshops, masterclasses, chats and social events. In 2024, this not-to-be-missed event is kindly being hosted by Queen’s University Belfast.

Tuesday 26th March 12 – 1pm Lunchtime chat: Economic History and Economic Policy

As part of the conference, the Centre for Economics, Policy and History (CEPH) at Queen’s University Belfast and Trinity College Dublin invites you to join a panel of economic historians for a lunchtime chat on Tuesday 26th March  as we explore what history has to offer governments when they are designing new policy initiatives. The panel discussion will be chaired by historian and comedian Andrew Dorman (Trinity College Dublin) and the panel will include Chris Colvin (Queen’s University Belfast), Áine Doran (Ulster University),  Gaia Narciso (Trinity College Dublin), Matthias Blum (German Medical Association, Berlin, and Queen’s University Belfast) and John Turner (Queen’s University Belfast).
