Seán Lyons

Independent Researcher

Seán Lyons is an independent researcher. He previously worked as an Associate Research Professor at the ESRI and held posts in economic consultancy and telecoms regulation. Seán now specialises in economic history, applied microeconomics and policy modelling. He is currently doing research on how rural electrification in Ireland affected human capital formation and on measuring occupational mobility in early 20th century Ireland using full-count census data.  Seán has a PhD in Economics from TCD, an MPhil in Economics from the University of Cambridge and a BA Mod. in History from TCD.
