Opening for Research Assistants

We are seeking to appoint three exceptional candidates to the post of Research Assistant in Economic History. The Research Assistants will be active in assisting the delivery of CEPH’s research programme, main responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Undertake data management, literaturea reviews and data analysis for the duration of the position under the direction of the three Trinity-based Principal Investigators (Prof. Gaia Narciso, Prof. Ronan Lyons, Prof. Marvin Suesse)
  • Work on research projects in Irish and / or international economic history.
  • Assist the Principal Investigators s in preparing material for publication in international peer-reviewed journals and presentations at international conferences.
  • Collaborate with the CEPH research team on the assembly and publication of a compendium of high-quality indicators relating to Ireland’s economic development over time, including high-frequency and spatially granular data series, as well as national or sectoral aggregates
  • Present regular progress reports on research to the PIs.

The successful candidates must hold, or obtain during the application period, a MSc or MA in economic history or economics. We will also consider strong candidates who expect to hold a BSc (hons) degree in these fields.
